Minnesota's budget picture
Feb 28, 2014 - 10:00 AM ESTCold, bitter cold and oh my goodness cold are predicted in the weather forecast but today Minnesotans will hear what’s in the state’s economic forecast. Late last year, Minnesota economists predicted the state would have about a $1 billion more in its coffers than it has already locked up in spending. Today’s forecast will update that number and give lawmakers a clear sense of how much money they will have to work with as they decide what to spend this year or what tax increases they can buy down.
