I would have picked it up in free agency, Jeff. But not in the draft. Sheesh.
You two are are out of your element
After Naila-Jean Meyers, Star Tribune sports editor Chris Carr will be selecting.
pond would be good for you, Brian
But will anyone select Jesus Rolls or whatever the sequel is that just came out?
Given the thinking on Caddyshack here, does that mean Big Kent Youngblood couldn't have picked Princess Bride -- fencing movie, he says -- if he were drafting tonight?
Not saying I love this movie, but I own an exact replica of the Dude's sweater.
One of the funniest movies of all time, but is it really a sports movie? Kinda like the debate about Die Hard being a Christmas movie.
Another question, is poker a sport? Are poker movies sports movies?
Wait did you just PICK Bull Durham or are you saying it's your favorite baseball movie??
Naila is just trying to diminish Field of Dreams' value so it's available when it swings back around to her.
Yo. Easy one. Rocky. The orig.
I'm comfortable knowing there's no way Carr is going to draft the movie I have in mind...
Classic! Will La Velle E. Neal III begin a run on baseball movies?
Rocky going No. 7 is wild. I believe it won a few Oscars. Most iconic museum stair running scene in sports, as well.
I always wondered why did didn't make a sequel to Rocky. Seems like it was a no-brainer.
La Velle should be in Oakland right now .. but we're thrilled he's with us.
First of all, I must admit that I'm disappointed that there is only one baseball movie off the board at third point, and it's not even the best baseball movie. Costner has tried three times to make baseball a metaphor for life and fell short each time
The crowd chants: "Pick, La Velle, pick!!"
No, Jerry. It's not a snake draft. We're keeping the same order for each round.
I'm doing this draft under protest that it's not a snake draft! Where do I file my complaint?
Charlie, when you run the 2021 draft, it can be a snake draft!!
Don't hate on the draft format just because you didn't tank for FNL
This draft is already off the rails. Hoop Dreams can't be selected, and we aren't snaking the rounds. ANARCHY!
With the No. 9 overall selection in the draft I select...Field of Dreams, which is easily the best baseball movie and does encapsulate life, no matter what La Velle says. Also I'm drafting out of hope that we get to see the Yankees and Sox play there this summer.
I can't believe I am in a sports movie draft in Minnesota and now one has taken a hockey movie.
