Tough break for him. You have to be concerned since his ERA has been on the rise over the last three seasons. You hope he's not on the path to a serious injury and time away from the game. Glad I was able to get through that without a Game of War reference....
Looks like No. 4 is going to bat No. 7 in the No. 3 spot in the order. Molly seems to want balance, so he's not going to put Dozier and Hunter in the 3-4 spots to bat Mauer third. I like Hunter in the cleanup spot for now because he's a veteran hitter who will find ways to drive in runs.
In the grand scheme of things, what is the problem with being patient? The team is not a challenger. There's going to be a surge of prospects to the majors over the next two seasons. Might as well go with this arrangement for now and call Hicks up if he gets off to a fast start.
He's lost some weight and his stuff looks sharper. Let's see if he does turn it around
All should debut by the end of the year. And how can you say Buxton had regressed? He had one injury-plagued year and still has tons of potential
As of now, no. He has a power slider and a good change up. He's got to throw strikes, then he will be in the majors as soon as there is an opening.
The outfield question first. I love the ground that outfield would cover. That's one thing the Twins have gotten away from and must figure out how to get back to those days. Hamburger didn't pitch that poorly He will probably get a look during the season
I hope not. He has been bad the last couple of years. BAD.
Eduardo Escobar has had a good camp. What about Hunter and Suzuki?
I think he has a real shot at putting on Twinstripes this summer
His determination to improve is obvious, where Hicks might feel the same way but doesn't show it.
Did you read my story in today's editions? Y-E-S
The Twins must take the blame for calling him up too soon. Hicks has to be held responsible for his actions, but calling him up from New Britain might have ruined his career
The manager would like to see a OBP of at least around .450
Change is inevitable. I see Terry Ryan making several trades during the second half of the season, either to help a playoff push (I know) or to make room for prospect development
That's all for now, folks! Thanks for dropping by and have a Happy Opening Day!
