Seeing what Montreal spent to get Vanek, do you feel the Wild would have pursued him this year instead of getting Moulson?
by jakemano3/11/2014 7:00:29 PM
Is Gunnarsson expected to come over next year? His numbers look good but he doesn't seem to get much hype. Is the org high on him?

What have you heard about the development of Kurtis Gabriel?

Who besides Gabriel and Dumba could be joining Houston next year from the prospect pool?

Why doesn't Fletcher intervene when Yeo plays favorites and doesn't play the better player? Prosser has been outstanding and is clearly the better player than Ballard. The same might be said for Stoner also but he is at least better than Ballard.
by Favorites3/11/2014 7:03:44 PM
Resigning Moulson an easier thing to do now rather than going after Vanek?
by Erik Eastliquor3/11/2014 7:08:48 PM
Thoughts on the healthy scratch of Fontaine again? he is a plus 7 and shown the ability to bury his chances (17% sp)
by Up North3/11/2014 7:09:36 PM
Hello Mike I must admit Im a little confused by the scratching of Justin Fontaine... He was one of the top 5 goal scorers on the team relegated to 4th line minutes and he's still expected to score a lot? I would think the Wild could use his scoring touch on a higher line and maybe drop Coyle down who's been kind of a disappointment?
by mnhockeyguy3/11/2014 7:11:23 PM
What do the Wild think of Mario Lucia and when do they expect him to turn pro? He seems to be doing quite well in college

Do the Wild look for a starting goaltender in the offseason?

Mike what do you think the ramifications will be if the Wild miss the playoffs or go out meekly in the first round?
by mnhockeyguy3/11/2014 7:13:19 PM
Was Zucker on the table at the deadline? Perhaps in an offer for Vanek?
by Flahr for the dramatic3/11/2014 7:13:46 PM
Will we target Niskanen or Orpik, or other dmen in the offseason? Doesn't seem to be particularly deep at defense this year.

With a completely healthy team, is Grandlund our #1 Center come playoff time, or do you see this being changed around anytime soon?

Do you see the Blues as being the team to beat come April?
by Kevin3/11/2014 7:16:13 PM
Sure seems like this team is a more cohesive unit without Koivu in the lineup. They looked great when he was out, and he's been awful since his return.
by Adam A.3/11/2014 7:16:27 PM
Do you see the Wild using its 2nd Compliance buyout this summer and if so who are the most likely targets?
by Anchor Down3/11/2014 7:16:55 PM
Regarding a comment from early in the season....still think Granlund's future in the NHL is at wing??
by Erik Leftz3/11/2014 7:18:37 PM
Do you see the Wild trying to sign any of their college draft picks once their seasons wrap up? Lucia? Draeger? Seeler? Olofsson?
by Adam A.3/11/2014 7:19:10 PM
Do you think Coyle being a right-handed shot gets him ice time in the top six over Nino, or is there something about his game that they feel meshes better with that second line? Or some combination of both?
by Walz of Jericho3/11/2014 7:19:44 PM
Safe to say we're not going to be seeing Zack Phillips anytime soon?

The Wild probably cant improve past the sixth or seventh seed in the West. Which of the possible first round opponents should fans feel most optimistic in facing?
by Dan C3/11/2014 7:20:42 PM
What does your gut tell you on Moulson? Will he re-sign here? Would we re-sign him at the expense of pursuing Vanek?
by Professor Blum3/11/2014 7:22:02 PM
Can you see the Wild re-signing Moulson? A proven goal scorer who is a lot more durable than Vanek. Also cheaper. Could open up cap space to spend elsewhere.
by Mike3/11/2014 7:22:41 PM
I am a Jason Zucker fan, so I am wondering what these new additions does to his status once he is healthy? He seems to always be on the verge of being in the dog house.

If Harding gets back to game shape before the end of the season, would Yeo just take the net away from Kuemper?

Among Chicago, St. Louis, Anaheim...is Chicago the best first-round match-up for the Wild?
by Nick in NY3/11/2014 7:23:56 PM
Wild seems to be lacking a booming shot from the point. None of the top 7 really has it (Scandella doesn't shoot enough). Any potential help here in free agency?
by Adam A.3/11/2014 7:24:44 PM
Can you explain the Stafford trade complications you mentioned at the deadline?
by Richard's Wall's In for cheap!3/11/2014 7:25:25 PM
You said earlier in the season that most NHLers have secret/private twitter accounts. What is the idea behind this? My best guess is it is so they can follow the latest updates like the rest of us without people bothering them all the time.
by himtowell3/11/2014 7:26:12 PM
Koivu has been involved in 3 of the 5 goals scored the last two games, Parise only 1, at what point do we start referring to the Koivu line as the "1st line"?

Has anything gone right in Vancouver this season?
by Nick in NY3/11/2014 7:26:50 PM
I know it's probably a long shot, but I am curious what the wild would do if Harding and Backstrom both came back healthy and ready to play before the end of the season. Is there any protocol for having four goalies on the roster at the same time?
by himtowell3/11/2014 7:27:16 PM
What's the deal with Rupp this year? It seems like Fletch went out to get more size and grit at trade deadline when he has some sitting on his bench. If Wild make playoffs, they will need guys like Rupp and McCormick playing on a regular basis. Why does Yeo consistently go with a smaller 4th line?
by Mike3/11/2014 7:28:12 PM
Haula seems to be getting more PT and even playing more important minutes. Can we safely say he's a keeper?
by jakemano3/11/2014 7:29:49 PM
Hi Michael. Regardless of line identity and chemistry, how can a team that struggles to score like the Wild afford to scratch Fontaine? T-3rd in goals scored in MN Wild sweater this year.
by UntzUntz3/11/2014 7:30:11 PM
With Brodziak and Heatley most likely gone next year, is there roster room/$ available to sign both Moulson and Vanek this summer?

Any chance McMillan is re-signed to be a 4th line/extra with the Wild next year?
by Richard's Wall's In for cheap!3/11/2014 7:31:18 PM
Do you think Kurtis Gabriel is really a highly valued commodity around the league or do you think Fletch was just pumping his tires a bit by mentioning him in the same breath as Dumba and Olofsson?
by Seeler the Dealer3/11/2014 7:31:45 PM
Zucker can't seem to make the lineup and for once it seems like that makes sense. He also seems to be an easy target for a benching even when he is healthy. So, do you consider him future trade bait? Thanks Mike!
by jakemano3/11/2014 7:32:05 PM
With Kuemper emerging as a solid #1 option, where does that leave Backstrom next season if healthy? Big contract for a backup..
by sauce243/11/2014 7:33:12 PM
Do you think the Wild will still try to sign a pure scorer in free agency or will they go for secondary scoring and pursue a big bruising defenseman?
by fndork3/11/2014 7:33:32 PM
Fontaine is T-4th on our team in goals yet is getting scratched night after night. Do you see him getting back in the lineup anytime soon?
