Good afternoon folks, and thanks for joining. The only rule is no questions about Thomas Vanek or players with Minnesota on their birth certificates. Let's get started.
WHAT DID I JUST TELL YOU?????
My personal opinion is Moulson is a better fit for what the Wild need now for the playoffs and end of year, but if Garth Snow didn't stubbornly try to get a prospect and first from every GM, perhaps
He doesn't get hype because he's over in Sweden. He had a great development camp last year. They'll look to bring him over for next year, but they won't talk to him until after his season
Wild absolutely love him. Physical specimen
He'll be paired with somebody in Iowa.
The two junior kids they just signed, Brassart and Mitchell. Bertschy will spend one more year in Switzerland and then they'll try to bring him over.
A lot of assumptions by you. And Fletcher doesn't coach the team. When GM's interfere, things go haywire. That's not a stable way to run an organization. But trust me, Yeo consults with Fletcher on many things, but Fletcher lets the coaches coach the team
That's how I feel. To me, at some point, you want to let these kids play significant roles, like No. 1 PP. That changes things if you sign another long-term veteran. We'll talk more about that after the season. The problem is you can't fast forward development and the Wild needs scorers. It takes time for young players to develop into that
I would think there's a chance and I would think that they envision Haula being a future third-line center
Probably not. And thanks for reading :)
It's the great unknown, like the meaning of life. Leipold and Fletcher are the only two who seem to know and Leipold just says he's signed long-term and will be here a "long time." So, basically, I don't know
It directly reflects the amount of top players the Wild have had here, the amount of young, young prospects they have there, the amount of injuries they have and the amount of grinders on that team. Just look at the daily ECHL signings there
Everything is up in the air. If Moulson fits in great and the Wild go on a run, it changes everything and should. The Wild also need to get its goaltending in order and maybe get a defenseman
It's a numbers game right now. He doesn't play special teams currenly, they want to play McCormick and Heatley's been playing better and is still a good power-play guy. Fontaine's game hasn't been up to snuff, Yeo feels.
Where's he playing on a higher line? Don't agree he should be on a higher line than Coyle?
Slow start this year, much better in second half. Will be at Notre Dame at least another year. Education is huge to the Lucia family. In fact, I think he's accelerating his classes so he can graduate in three years
Depends on if they believe Kuemper is ready to be the No. 1. This is the big decision above all else before the Wild pursues guys like Vanek, etc
Read Chip's column today and you tell me what you think
I don't think so. Fletcher made clear he wasn't trading a prospect and he also said the guys everybody asked for were Dumba, Olofsson and Gabriel
