Wild Live Chat with Michael Russo at 3 p.m. Monday
Join Star Tribune hockey writer Michael Russo for a Live Chat before Monday's Game 6 of the Wild-Avalanche playoff series. Will it be the last chat of the season?
I understand the frustration with the Officiating and the non calls and what not, but around 8.5 mins with an empty net and the Wild has not scored once (quite embarrassing). Why not throw it down there easy enough to lift it over the defenses heads and if you take an icing call a timeout! Yeo to my knowledge hasn't done that, calm the team down get another faceoff? Just mind boggling...

We all know that NHL players get playoff bonus pay, but what about Mr. Russo ? Is there anything in it for you if the wild are still playing in May ?
by Blair4/28/2014 8:03:06 PM
Does anywhere stream the games live online, I can't get the games on tv where I am located?
by balgs4/28/2014 8:03:31 PM
Thought the Mikko comments regarding the 6 on 5 shifts in this series were right on. That is the difference in this series. Is there anything that the Wild can do differently to get better in these situations? I would think they need to ice the puck more and not worry so much about face-offs, since we have been very solid in the circle. What are your thoughts?

Is there anything the Wild can do about the horrible calls on Saturday night?
by Emily A4/28/2014 8:04:50 PM
Didn't it look like the Wild went into conservative mode after grabbing the lead on Saturday night? We just seemed to easily panic and chip the puck out of our zone instead of trying to initiate plays. The Av totally controlled the neutral zone after we scored. What happened?
by MinnAbe4/28/2014 8:05:05 PM
How do you feel about Kuemper's play so far in this series? Seems like he has been pretty average and I think he will need to be better for the Wild to advance.
by Cody4/28/2014 8:06:00 PM
Brad Meier. Your thoughts?
by Ben4/28/2014 8:07:12 PM
Duchene's impact on the line matchups if he plays tonight?
by Smokey4/28/2014 8:08:01 PM
I feel good about the Wild winning this series but looking ahead to free agency would the Wild have enough cap space to potentially add a high end forward and defenseman such as Vanek and Niskanen?
by Cody4/28/2014 8:08:22 PM
How good is the Bruins/Canadiens matchup going to be?
by Smokey4/28/2014 8:08:39 PM
Do you feel these 5 games have closed the book on anyone being in a Wild sweater next year (Heatley doesn't count).
by nags344/28/2014 8:09:03 PM
Duchene is listed as a "game time decision." What do you think the odds are that he actually plays significant minutes tonight?
by drtrobridge4/28/2014 8:09:30 PM
Did Ryan Suter insult @adater's manhood or something? He's obviously not a fan. Really strange since outside of Nashville I've not heard as much criticism directed toward Suter.

Do you see the Wild going to more of a top 9 in the future and one grind line? Maybe something like Vanek-Granlund-Pominville-, Paris-Koivu-Coyle, Zucker-Haula-Nino-, Cooke-Brodziak-Fontaine next season.
by Cody4/28/2014 8:10:33 PM
Bigger offseason need scoring forward like Vanek or top 4 defenseman like Niskanen, Orpik, or Greene?
by Bill4/28/2014 8:11:10 PM
Any concern over Spurgeon and his blocked shot from last game?
by TheGeneral4/28/2014 8:12:59 PM
Besides scoring on the empty net... what do the coaches need to do differently and does what their team needs to do differently at the end of the game when Roy pulls his goalie with so much time left?
by evegoe4/28/2014 8:13:22 PM
Most important question for this series: Why are they the Avs, and we are the Wild (no s)? Shouldn't they just be the Av? Inquiring minds want to know!
by MinnAbe4/28/2014 8:14:30 PM
Any update on how Zucker is recovering? If the Wild get to round 2 any chance he could come back? Really miss his speed against Colorado.
by Alex4/28/2014 8:15:34 PM
Brodziak, Stoner, and Prosser who ends up back with the Wild next season if any?
by Alex4/28/2014 8:15:44 PM
Has there been a point during this series where you've thought, "Boy, the Wild sure could use a healthy Jason Zucker right now?"
by TheSuss4/28/2014 8:16:53 PM
Who oversees the job an official does game in and game out? Is there an officiating equivalent to the job Shannahan once had for determining fines and suspensions to players?

Russo, when are going to start a weekly podcast? Count me as a subscriber!

Ballard: Still injured, Scratched and/or Dog House?
by Bruce4/28/2014 8:18:48 PM
Do you think the Wild will make more of an effort to go upstairs on Varlamov since it seemed to work on Saturday?
by NCS94/28/2014 8:18:58 PM
Are these playoffs the last games of Heatley's career?
by Ryan4/28/2014 8:19:06 PM
How can league justify sending Mikko to the box with Landeskog when Gabe was punching Mikko and then only Coyle goes to box when Moulson gets hit from behind to start a scrum?
by MNhockeyjunkie4/28/2014 8:19:19 PM
Flat out skating is Haula as fast as McKinnon?
by dynaflash4/28/2014 8:19:37 PM
The refs in game 5 were awful. I've watched just about every other playoff game, and there were other games that seems just as bad. Why is there never any recourse against refs who have horrible track records? And why doesn't the NHL look at that kind of stuff?
by Nicolin4/28/2014 8:20:02 PM
Has Yeo done enough to earn a contract extension? I believe he has.
by DJ4/28/2014 8:20:47 PM
What are the chances at least one of Backstrom or Harding decide to retire?
by Ryan4/28/2014 8:23:32 PM
When the Wild drops back into that 7 to 18 minute long defensive shell that's lost them so many games, is that done at a coach's instruction or are the players choosing to do that in the moment?
