for the wild, dubnyk...for the blues, allen...Easy, cheap answer I know, but that's how important goaltending is to advance. Just look at some of the goals given up by Ottawa and yesterday Holtby...Or the Dubnyk second goal, that was the difference between maybe winning and losing
I can't answer that. I think one issue at home is the Wild plays this impatient game here. On the road, they just stick with their gameplan no matter how long it takes. At home, it's like if they don't score in the first three or four minutes, they grow impatient, get too fancy and lose the details in their game, maybe because they feel they need to be entertainers here.
I think it'll be a tinker year, maybe sign a left-shot defensemen like Paul Martin and/or re-sign Jordan Leopold. I'll be honest: I have been very surprised by Leopold's game and amazed at how he has embraced the mentor role with guys like Dumba. If he wants to keep playing, I'd sign him to a one-year deal in a heartbeat
Yeah, I do. Parise got two-handed the other night, and not only did the referee put his arm up in Parise's face to tell him to shut up, he skated over to Pietrangelo to warn him not to do it again. This was right after the Dumba penalty, too
He's a net crasher. My biggest gripe with his game in the playoffs is he has not been strong enough on the puck on cycles. He has been bounced off multiple times.
I believe only locally on FSN
I think that's well-stated. You can't change a leopard's spots. He is what he is. Wild knew what he's getting and down the stretch, he was one big reason why this team made the playoffs
I think deep down, he still is
Honestly, it's luck of the draw. I have so, so many and am trying not to duplicate questions.
Ryan Carter, I believe. Mike Rupp when NJ won the Cup, I believe. There's one obvious one too in recent memory and I can't think of it. John Curry also was backup for overtime in Game 7 last year and backed up in chicago for some games if I remember correctly
He got a 10-minute misconduct, so you don't lose a man. The suspension only comes into play if you instigate a fight in the last five minutes, and that's if the league doesn't rescind it, which they have done twice now in the playoffs in the CGY-VAN series
Vibe has actually been great
